new to quilting, love to do art quilts. started out painting on fabric to quilt, and have progressed from there. married to the love of my life, my fairest critic, have grown children, and awesome grandchildren that keep me laughing. Always eager to learn from others. maybe someday I will outlive my stash....

huge stash

I am learning to quilt, usually make art wall hangings, but watching grandkids has limited my sewing time, unfortunatly, not limited my buying time.....hence, more fabric than quilts. So, I have started to wash, cut, and store excess fabric in strips of various widths, squares, and bricks, so when I do have time again, I am ready to do scrappy quilts. Amazing how a huge basket of cloth can be reduced to a medium tote of cuts.....

I love what you said about using tree branches for hanging nature theme quilts!  That's the best idea I've heard in ages!!!
