"Haven't seen beads on a Hawaiian. Hmm.
When we were at a square dance convention in Hawaii, I snuck away to see the Bishop Museum. It happened to be an informal quilt meeting day of half a dozen Hawaiians. The one man was free hand…"
"Chris that is amazing.
Beth, Glad you found us. Riana is Mama Duck and makes all the rules and keeps us organized.
Actually quilted for almost a half hour straight yesterday, between barking at Paul to behave."
"Have spent the last 3 1/2 days in and out of the hospital because of Paul's close encounter with his table saw. If I can make him behave, he may get full use of the three fingers he half severed back. Miracle surgeon at the…"

Hello again, Mary. We have moved from our beautiful mountains down to Santa Cruz County to be closer to family. John has had a rough year health wise, but still managed to build a stable for the granddaughters to have critters. In case you ever get over your snail mail phobia, I would love to hear from you. My son has insisted that I learn to text, but I am old-school. That is no way to communicate. New address is 530 Light Springs Road, Aptos, CA 95003. Just in case. Big garden, tiny house. Nothing but hand sewing for now. Love the new picture of you and Paul. So happy... Cecily
I made my Shepard a sweater coat from a mans wool sweater. I cut sleeves off made a band for across the vest with two tabs the attach to the under belly with Velcro It’s not the prettiest but it keeps her warm and it’s very soft morino wool.
Hi Mary, I'm new to the site. Was reading one of comments and you mentioned a friend was going to do your 365....what is a 365? I just moved to central PA and only 1 tiny quilt shop. I'm spoiled from living in Houston TX most of my adult life, then near Charlotte NC for about 10yrs. Both had great quilt shops. Houston's International Shows were mind blowing and made me feel so inferior that I didn't make a thing for years. Finally accepted we all can do great things, just in different ways. Now, I also enjoy designing. Don't have any quilting friends here yet, but once I join guild that should change. Hope to get an expert Amish lady to teach me hand quilting. Since you have so many friends in here, do you know if anyone ever does a 10 inch sq exchange or even a fat qtr or half yard? Thanks
A wise computer person told me to just remove the Q on my keyboard, blow on it and on the board to clean it and look, I now have a working Q. I had long since forgotten my password and had to reset it. I can now find you again on this site. I will have to play around again with it, I am sure, to find the newer things. This will help till the other issue is resolved. Doubt your quilting friends will want to see my coloring projects.
