Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I started quilting when I was about 20. The quilt bug had bitten me at age 13, but I had no idea how to learn. My mother sewed, but clothing only; she wasn't a quilter. It wasn't until I discovered Alex Anderson's quilting show on PBS that I started to learn REAL quilting techniques.
