Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Yesterday, we asked a simple question on the AQS Facebook page, and were amazed and amused at the response. We asked:
What goes on around you while quilting?
There were a lot of responses, and we thought it would be fun to share them with you. You can read all the answers, and add your own at the American Quilter's Society Facebook Page.
Our fans posted a lot, so we've boiled them down for you.
The most common activity can be summarized as ... "What? I'm in my own world, quilting!"
After that, most quilters have either music or the television running while they are quilting. I wonder if there is a favorite kind of music quilters love to listen to. Maybe that's the next question!
And it seems like pets are far more involved than children in quilting, or trying to stop quilting :-)
The crowd-favorite answer came from Monica Nauert
my butler is constantly pestering me to have tea and cookies, Ryan Reynolds keeps calling (the guy is a huge stalker), my children are always asking what they can do to make my life easier, and my husband is always trying to slip his credit card under my nose. But ALL I want to do is quilt. Please.
Another fun response came from Julie Ramech
WHAT? I can't hear you, I'm quilting!
What a fun bunch of answers. Now, it's your turn.
What happens around you while you quilt?
