I just got a Wacom graphics tablet to help with digitizing in 4D quilt and my 4D embroidery software.  I was tired of trying to work with my jiggly mouse lines.  Well... it's obviously going to take some practice to use the pen tablet - my first results were worse than the mouse!

Once I started just making points instead of trying to draw lines my designs and editing became very easy.  I guess I had just read over that little statement in the manual and help files.  Someone on one of my yahoo lists mentioned doing points instead of lines and it all came together for me.  Sometimes I'm just a dummy and make things more complicated than they really need to be!

LOL, I got one last fall and I'm still not proficient, my old hand just doesn't want to be steady enough to use the pen on the slippery slope LOL good luck

Linda,  Let's say it got better fairly fast, but I'm still not real good at it.  But I remember way back when a 'mouse' was completely foreign too and I had to learn how to operate it - then it became second nature.  I'm sure I'll get better with it.  I think you'll enjoy the tablet.

Hello!  I just ordered the Wacom Bamboo Craft tablet from HSN.  I've been looking at this for a while & I finally got a chance to get it.  I once owned a photo lab/portrait studio & I wanted one of these for photo touch-ups. Now I want to try it out for my quilting & crafting.  How is it working out for you?  Did it get easier with practice? Mine hasn't came in yet & I'm anxious to try it out!!
