Well, I've already spent my allotted time here earlier today, so I really shouldn't be back...but I guess I'm addicted!  After I was here I finished the top to a quilt I'm working on...need to do the inner and outer borders next (just not in the mood right now).  Then I did the dishes, the garbage, folded clothes, rode my exercise bike, took a shower, went to the store, and now I'm back.  I woke up at 4am and it's 10:45 now, so I feel like the day is already half over!  So...boredom took over and hopefully someone else is bored too and on-line!

Speak of talking too much!!!  I do the same!  I've always been long-winded...especially when writing!

Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day...it sounds GREAT!!!  I would love to go to the World Science Fair!!!  I too like astronomy...when I was a kid I wanted to be a meterologist.  I ended up in accounting just because I'm good with numbers.  Luckily I'm retired now and get to spend more time quilting!  I took an early retirement due to a back injury (I was only 45...I'll be 50 in July).

I have only pieced a few backs...I always wonder how people get their backings even with the front.  Mine have been scrappy, so it didn't matter.  Plus, I make my backings 8" larger all the way around, so there's no way to do a perfectly pieced back.  I do hope you get some photos up soon.  I had to be in the right mood and it took several hours.  I stayed up until 2am that night.  I keep a strange schedule...I sleep when I can even if it's during the day.  I usually sleep in 3 hour segments (I have chronic pain and it wakes me up).

Anyway, I'm envious of your NY trip!!!  How exciting!

Hi Bridget,

Hope today was better.  I know the feeling and wonder how come days can crawl but year can fly.  Riddle me that as my husband would say.

Do you usually wake so early?  I'm usually between 6:00 and 7:30.  And of course that's also the time I could go back into a deep sleep but I am a morning person so I get up.  Tomorrow I'm going into NYC to the 5th Annual World Science Festival.  I'm going to hear a lecture on science writing and the following day I'm really excited about seeing a program on Dark Matter-I really like astronomy-as a lay person only.  I have no special knowledge of it, just think its so cool.

I had comfort quilts today and got my Ronald McDonald quilt pieced.  Now I am making the backing, which I am piecing since I don't have enough of any one fabric to do it "whole cloth".  Someone else is volunteering to quilt it and then I'll get it back to put binding on.  I'm thrilled at how it came out.  And one of these days I will get photos up.

And I know I probably talk too much.  But that's one of the things I wanted from this site so I hope its okay with you.
