Hello quilting friends...I have been so busy, my head is spinning. I am making quilted Christmas stockings, mug rugs, iphone and mpg pouches, enough already!!! It is a super way to use up all those scraps.  A friend is opening a craft shop and we were invited to sell. Hubby makes the best candied pecans the world has ever seen and wonderful smoked sea salts. I run the business end of Paradise Chili Co., besides packaging, sales, ordering, and bookkeeping. He also is an excellent cook and his chili is award winning. I am so lucky. The bear paw still needs to be quilted, and the PCC banner is still being appliqued! Did I mention my Mom isn't doing well and another trip north may happen soon! We are hoping the cold front drops all the way to south Florida, but the a/c is still on! No jackets needed here!  I sure hope all my quilting friends have a good day. Stay warm, light a fire in the fireplace and enjoy some quilting.

Older and aging parents are something a lot of people get to deal with.  Both my parents are gone, but I have friends who still have theirs and they say a lot of the same things as you.  Enjoy the time you have with her.  You take care too...

Hi Vickie, Hubby went to meet with clients today so it is quiet here and I have done a lot of quilting. My eyes are getting tired! Ha! Mom is 85 and has normal aging problems from memory and hearing loss to bone loss. She is unsteady on her feet and refuses to downsize her home.  It is a situation many of us face with older parents. My Dad died in 2008 and I believe she is longing to be with him again. Anyway I made 2 Christmas totes today and the other day 4 Christmas stockings. I need to do some Paradise Chili bookkeeping this week also!! Time passes,  I need to start thinking of dinner now. You take care. Nancy

Hello Nancy.  You do sound quite busy and the holidays are coming upon us quickly.  I get to stay home today and sew, yes...  What I wanted to do after being gone most of yesterday and running around with errands and what not earlier in the week.  Feels like I haven't gotten much sewing done lately.  No fireplace to light a fire, but plan on quilting today.  Hope your mom improves.
