"The Quilt of the Second Daughter" and her new owners

This is the first of 15 posts featuring the new owners of the quilts of "2013 - The Year of the Christmas Quilt" featuring my baby sister, Denise with her husband Martin and their dog companion, Campbell.  Denise says she selected this quilt (after her niece, my daughter Becky took "And We Like Sheep") because she liked the snowmen motif.   My husband took this great picture and thinks they should use this for their Christmas cards!

Denise and Marty are two of the most generous people I know.  Everytime family comes into town, they open their house and welcome them in.  We stayed with them for this and many other holiday weekends.  This picture was taken Friday night when the five of us were just sitting around the living room talking and I asked her if I could drape her new quilt over the stair rail.    She expressed some concern about people handling it as they came up the stairs.  But we decided that the rail was pretty high and folks would probably use the bannister and that it looked really nice here so here it will probably stay.

Denise said she plans to keep the quilt out all winter long with her many snowmen decorations.  It really is more a winter quilt than a Christmas quilt.  Love you guys! Enjoy the quilt.

PS:  this was too cute not to include.
