Leann.  We lived in Bothell for 25 years and never saw anything like that.  I am from Indiana, tornadoes are quite common there.  But not in the pacific northwest.

We are known for Rainy here, and windy! But Tornados? Never. And we have had 2 so far as I know this season. Here in Pierce county in the Puget Sound, and 1 in the wheat fields, east of the mountains. They are known for dust storms, like those in AZ. About a week and a half ago it was gorgeous here, in the 70's and 80's. Then almost overnight it changed to this nasty weather. Not really cold yet though. Getting lots of Lightning and Thunder as a result. Usually happens, when we are getting bad weather, you on the east side of the US are getting the nice weather, and so on...

sounds like you are getting Michigan weather, wind and rain, and we are getting BEAUTIFUL weather.  Thanks for the switch, we are loving it here.  LOL

We also had a Category 1? Tornado in Fredrickson, WA. Winds over 100 Mph. Unheard of in the pacific northwest. In one week we made the record for the most rain ever in Sept. 2 weeks ago it was summer here, what a wicked change in weather!
