Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
It is a bright winter day...lots of snow and wind...and I am busy pinning the wedding quilt. About five years ago, my husband, George and our friend Bill Hisker, built me a table extender for our dining room just for pinning quilts. Here you see the quilt spread out being pinned on that extender - thanks guys!
The quilt is so big, I have to move it several times to pin it. I am always a little nervous about that as it is so easy to not get the bottom absolutely flat and end up with a big wrinkle in your quilt. Pinning a quilt this big also means you have to own lots of quilt pins. I have a biscotti tin with probably 2000 pins but had to go out and buy 1000 more. Oy vey! My plan of attack is to pin awhile, then go do something else (like write this blog entry) to save my aching back and sore fingers. In a few minutes, hubby and I are headed out into the snow to go grocery shopping and hit a fabric store (of course!) Then it is back to pinning.
Hope you are having a great quilting day too!
