Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
It definitely wasn't a quilting weekend....but just as fun! 3 of my granddaughters descended on Grandpa and I for 2 nights! Fairy houses, lots of cooking..chocolate chip cookies, bread, muffins, smoothies and lots of time for playing with each other! They are 3-6 and their conversations are amazing! While we were making the fairy houses I learned a lot about the world of fairies! I got caught up on all the fairy names and occupations! We had to watch the latest Tinker Bell movie before we went to bed! I know feel like a fairy expert and think I have started a love for fairy gardens with my girls! Two of the Mom's were around for part of the time and it was wonderful! I was a single Mom for about 10 years and my house was always filled with kids and projects! I have missed it, but have to admit I am very tired! The last two go home tomorrow! It will seem very quiet around here...but I can go back to finishing the quilt I have been fixing and get ready for the challenges in the UFO groups for June! Good timing for them, because May has been soooo full of grandkid activities that I haven't gotten much sewing done! June promises to be quieter, but has decided to start taking a class at one of the gym's and am taking golf lessons once a week! Given the amount of rain we are having my golf lessons could spread out all summer! Good things I am not taking gardening lessons, as I can't even get my flowers planted around the rains! Great beginning to a great summer!
