Today was one of those days if I didn't laugh I would be crying.  :)

I love to re-purpose things:  In this case I was going to re-purpose 3 shelves which used to live in my laundry room for storage once upon a time and many homes ago.  Those shelves no longer were needed and so they were sitting in the basement.  The problem- there were only 3 but I wanted to use them to create a cutting table in my sewing room.  Honey suggested just using the 3 and he would make a leg for a back corner.  Wandering through the local hardware store a couple of days ago, there it was,  I saw one that looked just like my other three which were 10+ years old, so I purchased it.

Today was the day, assemble it, put a backing on all of them so I could set them up and go get a top for my new cutting table.  Do you see the problem here?  Yep the new one is 1 1/2 inches taller than the other three.  LOL  So waiting for Honey to get home to trim the sides down and then off we will go to get the top for my cutting table!

Then to start moving my stuff into my new sewing room.

Oh by the way one room sewing stuff removed only 8+ more to go!

Linda that is an excellent idea too.  I have yet to go to the local goodwill.  I want to make a trip soon though to see what kind of treasures I find.

I picked up a hanging fabric shoe storage bin which I intended to use for shoes but I discovered it is a great storage container in my quilt closet for like fabrics or different projects. Not bad for $2.38 at Goodwill.

That is a great idea.  I have a couple of book shelves, and some plastic drawers, I think I need to go through them and "figure out" what is necessary and what is no longer needed.

I love repurposing things. I have a old jewelry cabinet I use to hold notions, thread, starches and stuff.
