Hi, I just signed up when I say your post about the cardboard.  I did the same thing, but went to a comic book store.  They have precut pieces that are typically used to stiffen out comic books, but the best part is they are acid free.

I was taught bookkeping in highschool I go back to peg boards. I will pray for you and I'm not being smarty. When I was divorced in the 70's I held 2 full time jobs to support my daughters. I worked at Wards balancing cash registers and payroll and my second job was at night ,I worked at the minit mart, from 5 to 11pm.But I always felt God knew what I was going thru. ONe time I was 7.oo short for my rent. . MY avon lady gave me 5.oo becasue an order didn't come in. and in my closet I found 2.00 worth of bottles to turn in.I had to girls 13 and 14. They were Brats. Later I went thru Bookkeping School. and Then Jr. College and got mu "Payroll certification. + I took computer courses. Can the Unemplayment office Help You.?There has to be another agenda going on with this Pastor. Can Legal aid help you? Did he immediatly fill your position?Do you know something  or dose he think you know something that would embarasse him?. I"M 15 years older than you and I would'nt want to be looking for a job right now. My husband was 57 when consolidated frightways went bankrupt. He was the office manager at his terminal .He lost every thing. My Money was all that was coming in.I know something will break for you. I hope it is soon. God Bless Mary Jeane. Oh-I told my Girl friend I sit at one job,I stand at my second Job,If I get a third one It will have to be on my back, and I will just  just sleep thru any thing. I held those 2 jobs for 1 1/2 years, then I met my husband. we,ve been together 35 years.

I worked for acct temps for 8 years. It's hard when you are out of work and wonder if you will always be that way. I did Payroll from 1970 untill 2007. Then went back to school and got my "PPC" in payroll. My husbands co. went bankrupt. so you regroup after that. he was to young to get his 401 k. we are retired now and live in az.

My daughter is a sherie too only she did't like the spelling so she changed hers to "Shari"

one place I have found a lot of material is,Good will,Salvation Army. My drawers (#3) of them are full of binding, elastic, seam lace, twill tape. My elastic drawer is full of every size elastic there is. a lot of time they just bundle it and it's price tag is 1.00. Shop carefully thru the linins and sheets. I am  quilting a full size fan quilt that my daughter bought at good will for $7.oo! I like the fact that it's all three layers and the woman even basted it. My daughter is spending a week in feb. she picked up 7 yards of heavy wool for 3.oo. When she comes I'm making her two skirts from material she has found. She found a baby rag quilt it needed to be taken apart and resewn. she got it for 3.00 I took it apart resewed it and we gave it to the larest grt grandchild. I picked up 14 yards of tricot for 7.00, I'll ude it to line things. Plus it gives you some where to go and something to look for, some linins make great backings. mjh

Good for you girl. I need to go through mine again and get it organized. Since I am out of work now, I need to make do with what I have. The only thing I know I don't have is neutrals. Next project chevron quilt for a graduate that I need to complete before May. Been pounding the pavement looking for work but I hope to get into my sewing room tomorrow.
