Well we have place our home on the market! It's been on for 2 weeks and we have had lots of showings but no takers yet!! The worst part is I took down my sewing room. So now I'm having sewing withdrawals!! Once our home is sold we can move closer to our son and his family!! I sure miss my grandson Mason!!!

Now may be just the right time to do a project that you can carry around or just sit a while and hand quilt or applique and fill in your time and satisfy your need to be sewing. You can be creative and keep things small and tidy. It will be great to be nearer family.

I bet it's hard to walk through that room where your sewing was...so many ideas that can't be carried out until you can set it up again. But it'll be great to be around the grandson! I have two granddaughters that live about five hours away....I wish they lived next door!

Oh Kathy, I can soooo empathize with you! Both on the missing of the grand child or in my case grchildren. When we put our last home on the market I, too packed up my sewing room first. Then continued on to the barn and the sheds with their 70 yr accumulations of "good stuff!" by three generations of dh family. I had kept out a hand quilting project and that helped me thru for the most part. I had also packed a huge shoulder bag with tools etc so that I could work on small projects while we lived in an apartment while I searched the net for another home to buy in our current job assignment location.
I do wish, tho, that we lived closer to my little grand daughters, but my son came thru for them & their gramma ham...I now have an iPad with FaceTime & it is almost as good as visiting. Definitely better than the phone...now when they hold up a treasure for me to see...I can actually see it!
Good luck on your sale, may it be speedy, and may you be nearer your Mason soon.
