They keep telling me that change is a good thing and I should embrace it. So I'm working on that (smile). The change I'm working on now is that we are adding a position and filling one that will become vacant.

AQS is adding a position of Associate Show Director. This person will work hand-in-hand with our executive show director to keep our shows fresh, lively, and full of fantastic quilts. This is a great opportunity for anyone who loves quilts and quilt shows and enjoys all the "behind-the-scene" action that goes into event organizing.

The other position is editor of our how-to quilting books. Linda Baxter Lasco, our senior book editor, is leaving us next month. Linda's homemade bread and lively banter will be missed. So now we desperately need to hire her replacement. If you know quilting like Linda knows quilting (along with grammar and everything else that goes into editing), you may be the person for the job. Being able to bake is optional, but much appreciated on snack days or any day.

Click here to see the ads for the positions and find out how to apply. Sure hope someone out there is willing to move to Quilt City USA (a/k/a Paducah, Ky.) to help us out!

I can't imagine a better opportunity for a couple of young people.   I'm sure you will have more applicants then you know what to do with.  (never end a sentence in a preposition, but I don't know how else to say that LOL)
