I haven't blogged for awhile because I have been very busy with homework from a quilting class that I am taking. I love the pattern but boy is it time consuming to make - first, quilt each blocks background using any variety of stitches, then applique the pieces and finally use different feet on the sewing machine to do some fancy stuff. This month's homework was very time-consuming - I have logged in 40 hours so far and my back hurts. I have had to resort to taking the sewing foot off, and using the button to start and stop by hand. Much easier on the back. However, complaints aside, I love making this quilt because it is challenging me. As one of my quilting friends said - I have finally stepped outside my comfort zone.

I still have 17 UFOs that I am working on. Each will get done in its own time.

The weather is definitely fall-like today. We got the irises and daffodils planted, raked up some of the leaves and then quit for the day. The wind will blow tonight and that will bring down more leaves to rake.

I am off to a quilt show tomorrow and I am sure to get new ideas for a new project. That should be fun.

I will take some pictures of some of the individual blocks and get them posted soon.

I would love to see this quilt you are working on!  Can you direct me to a picture?
