Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Happy 81st birthday to my Momma, Marian Long today and happy 79th birthday to my other momma, Ramona Tennison last Friday. It is a month of birthdays and they just kinda crept up on me. I had been so focused on the quilt project, I forgot about birthday presents but fortunately, I work in a museum with a great museum shop and got somethings sent out speedy quick. I wanted to say, just wait for your big present but I am keeping the secret.
Mom Ramona is particularly curious about what I am up to. When I told her her present was on the way and I was sorry to be late, she wanted to know if it was whatever I had been working on all year (I had been dodging her inquiries of "what are you sewing on now? for 10 months). My reply was, "how's the weather in California?" to which she replied, "Ginnie, you are changing the subject!"
So it is November 11th and I am all done with the dedications. Here is a sampling of some of them:I'm about a week ahead of schedule. I have to finish the hand stitching on Santas on Parade and throw a few beads on it. Then I am basically done but of course, I am never REALLY done. I am gonna add one more thing to each quilt and as soon as I work out the details, I will tell you all about it.
Time for bed, I guess. My husband can't get used to me not quilting all night and actually going to bed at a decent hour. We are supposed to get two inches of snow overnight so it may actually look like Christmas in the morning.
