Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
I've been in a quilting slump for quite awhile now, but I've been gradually coming out of it thanks to a friend of mine on this site. She has encouraged me tremendously and I can't thank her enough. I love it here! I've met so many wonderful people. It kind of makes up for not having a guild to belong to.…Continue

I design all of my quilts for sale, I sell them at Craft/Art shows, on Etsy and the Web. I also made doll patterns for years that were copyrighted, which meant for personal use only. I quit selling the patterns because I had to keep fighting the crafters at the shows who felt if they bought the pattern they had the right to sell the finished items. Pretty hard when a customer comes into your booth and complains about a doll they purchased that looked like mine and it…Continue
I noticed a discussion on wool batting in some of the groups here. I use Legacy 100% thermal bonded wool batting in all hand quilted projects and most of my machine quilted projects for its breathability and ease of use. There is nothing better to work with or to sleep under.
Super washed wool does not shrink. Fabrics will shrink 3% if not washed prior to use.

I finally had time today to get downstairs to my quilting. The first couple hours went beautifully. Then my tension got all screwed up and Mr. QBOT isn't tracking well. I have no ideas why either started. I've checked the QBOT wires and fiddled with the tension... still not quite right so I decided I'm done for the day. I'll deal with it tomorrow.

So, like my Quilt Place friend Briget, I start looking at quilt sites and can't stop. i stayed up late on night this week perusing Fons and Porter, All People Quilt, and about 4 others. I hadn't been on for awhile. I have decided to visit once a month (not on the same night) to keep updated so i won't have to read and read and read. Plus it will give my printer a rest since I still like hard copies of most things. That is because I use my desktop and my laptop so I would have items saved on…Continue
I have read Lover's Knot. All of Fowler's are great! There is a book out with quilt blocks to sew from the Benni Harper books. I think it is published by C&T Publishing. Will be perfect for that novel quilt.

Hello, My name is Miles and have a quilt that I need reparing. This is the only place I have found where I might find some help. A little about the quilt...
I got this quilt from my grandmother when she passed away. It belonged to my biological father whom I never met. It is about a queen size I think made of misc jean types of squares. It has or should I say had a felt like material for the backing. All of the backing has melted away. There is some stitchings that have come undone…Continue
