Well, the weekend in Chicagoland for my dad’s 80th birthday is behind us and the weekend in Baltimore with George’s 92 year old aunt is coming up. I was able to finish the top of quilt #5 Wednesday night before we left for the trip west and I have been busy cutting out the block work for quilt #6 (tentatively called Santas on Parade) and quilt # 7, official pattern name “Lady of the Lake” (my own name for it yet to be determined). Hi I am new to this blogging. I am new to quilting, still working on my first one. I had no idea how much work really goes into making a quilt. I am real excited about quilting and am already planning my next one. I have to finish this one it was for xmas for my daughter now its a birthday present.

I have a few new patterns coming out and I need a little bit of inspiration to know what to call them--
I have finished the mystery quilt and am quite happy with it. I plan on giving it to our best friends who were our Best Man and Maid of Honor. They celebrate their 50th anniversary in July. Ours is this month. Congratulations to all of us for beating the odds. LOL
