Hi, Ruth.  Nice to find someone from western Michigan here.  My husband and I moved to Arizona about 4 years ago.  Love it here, but do miss Michigan.  We lived in Norton Shores for decades, so it was quite the switch to go from lakeside to desert!  I saw Bonnie's comment to you - we are planning a visit home for August 2012 and the AQS show will be on our list of things to do.  And by the way.....10 quilts in 2 years!  Wow!  Hope you have a great summer...I'll be working on my UFO's.  Stop by my blog and say hi if you want

Hi Ruth: We are coming to Grand Rapids next week to start work on planning our show for AQS Quilt Show for August 2012 there. Can't wait to visit your city again. It will be a busy two days. Hope all of the quilters in GR are getting excited about the show.

This website took me a few weeks to navigate.  The only thing I use the internet for is e-mail and to shop, so a social networking site is all new to me.  I'm home full-time, so I've had the time to find my way around.  Now I have a daily routine here and I'm having lots of fun. I try not to spend too much time on the computer can be addicting and a time waster too!

Anyway, thanks for writing back!

Hi Ruth!  I joined about a month ago and I'm really enjoying it now that I know my way around.  Took me a few weeks!  Right off the bat I joined several groups and then I started a group for newbies.  There are no guilds, classes or quilting groups in my area, so I had to learn quilting using the books and the internet.  That's why I thought a newbie group may be helpful.  Plus, I have lots to learn as well!

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and welcome!
