Hi Linda. Lovely to hear from you. Same name almost and love of quilting and travelling, although I'm no sailor. My husbands father came from Wales after the war so we don't have a long line of Thorntons from the Black Country. We do have a love of South Africa however, having been a couple of times on holiday. I never found a quilt shop though.
I live in Stourbridge with my husband and our grown up children grandchildren all live locally. I belong to the rebellious quilters group which us quite an artistic group and very inspiring. I think that the quilting scene here is quite exciting now and we have a lovely quilt show in Malvern twice a year and of course the massive quilt show at the NEC in Birmingham every August. We live in an old farmhouse with a couple of holiday lets - www.blackcountrystays.com and it's always great to meet people from all walks of life from all over the world.
