I turned 50 on July 28 and for some reason that particular birthday bothered me.  None of the others did!  I guess I just feel like I should have more accomplished by now!

I've been in a quilting slump since I sold a bunch of my quilts last December.  I think I'm in mourning because it was really hard for me to sell them.  That was the point, but I didn't think they'd all go at once.  So I haven't been able to finish much in quite some time.  I have three tops that are in process.  One needs the border, one needs the rows sewn together and one needs to be finished piecing.  I have always had several in the works at once, but I just can't seem to get it together and finish anything.  I started a table runner as well, hoping that by doing something small it would get me in the mood.  I was so hooked those first few years of quilting and I just don't get it.  I almost feel like I'm bored and I never thought that would happen.  That's partly why I joined this site; hoping for some motivation!

I've never been to a quilt show.  If I could only go to one show in my lifetime I want to go to Houston.  Have you ever gone?  Is your quilt show for a guild?  I'm in a small town and there isn't a guild, so I really feel like I'm missing out; which is another reason I came here.  I figured it would be a great place to meet other quilters, and it is!

Thanks for writing back!  Have a great weekend!
