Simply Beautiful, Chris! I completely relate to not cutting into it to make the opening for a tree.

Everyone I show it to says it should be hanging on a wall or on a table, not hidden under a tree. It is a gift for my mother-in-law. She is free to do with it whatever she wishes. I couldn't bring myself to cut it open and cut a hole in the center though. Thank you ladies.

Oh man! Now l've simply GOT to give paper piecing another try, sigh ...this is just gorgeous, and l've just been admiring an intricate NYB in a magazine. l totally agree w/Rogue, shame to hide most of that under a tree!

WOW WOW & triple WOW!! this so absolutely gorgeous ..i think i would hate to have it hiding under tree, gifts & decorations ... be a beautiful table centerpiece!
