i keep whining about my applique troubles...not getting time to work on it. then tried while i was sick for so long. when better...got upset w the mess. took it all apart cut new borders and the work is going nicely. was asked to post a pic of what i have so far. so here it is :)). the border is vines & leaves with yo-yo blossoms. the pattern was from fons & porter august 2009. designed by nancy mahoney. a friend made it in 1920's repro on white. i fell in love. got the pattern and decided to do blue and yellow in french country style which i love. alas...digging in the scraps there was not a lot of just blue...so...there is a touch of pink and red and and ....:))

thank you marcia. i love this pattern. but when it comes to my scrap quilts, they are truely made fr scraps. i may have enough blue fq now fr estate & yard sales for a second blue & yellow quilt, and i read recently on another forum that some quilters consider fat quarters as scraps and mix them in with their scraps. i have another quilt simmering on the back burner right now because i need more light color scraps for inside borders. i have plenty of yardage i could use, but to me scraps are scraps ..not yardage chopped up :))
...the background yellow is the only purchased fabric in this quilt.

Wow Rogue - this is beautiful - I'm sorry, though, that you will have to buy more blue fabric.  LOL

Rogue, LOVE your quilt in progress!  Can hardly wait to see the borders.

I'm working on clue 4 of my on-line mystery quilt in Christmas fabrics.  I've been managing a clue a day.

lollol!! ok pat ..will do! and it's going w me today to my monthly quilt group get together, so, instead of mowing or other yard work, i'll get to sit and stitch on another border.
