Hello to all three of you! My name is Paulette (pj is shorter) and I love Zentangle!
I do not consider myself someone who is able to draw, as such, but I am thoroughly amazed at what I have done with the Zentangle process.
I am a fiber artist at heart and have continually expanded my activities since the age of 4 when I learned to embroider on pillowcases & white dishtowels. I love it all...sew by hand & machine, quilt by hand & machine, knit, crochet, tat, do Swedish embroidery & Hardanger, etc, etc. Fiber arts are my lifelong passion.
Originally from Minneapolis, I now reside 6 miles northwest of the tiny town of Mount Vernon in the far southwest corner of Missouri equidistant from Joplin & Springfield. I am finally living my dream of living in the country with all of my (smallish) animals; i.e., cats, dogs, bunnies & my Chickies.
I love to correspond and still have a couple of pen pals from a Cat-loving Quilters Pen Pal List that I started in May of 1991; there were 28 pen pals at the beginning and I spent my lunch hours writing to each of them longhand -- way before email.
So, what shall we do now? Looks as if this group may be shut down in June, due to inactivity. I will share my address with anyone who wants to exchange emails with me. Let me know...pj stitches!
(That's me: pj stitches! because I do and always have!) Back to my mitten knitting for now... pj
Sorry Pigma pens. Darn spell check
I do have the pugnacious pens they are just so fine of a line. I have the picture above currently being fmq- as long as I don’t get sidetracked I can get it finished. Been in yard at night I’m just beat! I’ll post when it’s finished.
I use Micron Pigma pens- available in many colors, 3 sizes of tips, acid free, archival quality, permanent. They do not bleed / fuzz on fabrics. Around here they are available in many quilt shops, Joanne’s, Amazon. I’ve been using them for 15+ years
I have done a few it’s hard to find the pens for fabric. The pens are from Japan and they quit making them.
