If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Happy birthday Elizabeth!  Sounds like a great meal....around here it has been so hot I have no desire to cook!

Beth - The wedding quilt is beautiful and the vest came out great!  Can't wait to see the pictures!  Have a great wedding weekend!

Getting ready for out quilt show before we head out again.  Back to Denver area as Kristin is having another surgery on her leg and we are helping out!  Looking forward to time with her.  Hope to have a couple quilts ready to finish binding to take along.

Thank you, Rogue.

Today at lunch Hubby took me to Baton Rouge to celebrate my birthday which is on Sunday (I'll be 71).  It is my favourite restaurant.  We had mashed potato soup with chives, cheese and bacon toppings, and BBQ pork ribs  with hot cinnamon apples and baked beans.  It was so delicious!  I hope that I haven't outgrown my dress for the wedding. LOL

beautiful fabric beth, looks good. that's not an easy type of favric to work with, looking forward to seeing your soon to be sil wearing it.

mary at least your dil allowed you a job at your son's wedding. my, now exdil, was barely tolerant of my even being there at the wedding. but her brother was sweet, snuck up behind me, grabed me & gave me a huge hug and said "it's about time we got you into this family!" :))

Hurray!! you found the pattern. Great job on the vest. You will be so relieved when the Wedding is over. You'll be able to relax again. We will sure look forward to seeing the pictures.

A++ for Beth's Wedding Quilt, and vest and keeping us all in the loop.  Must say reading her comments is much more fun, then actually doing it.  I blew my only job at son's wedding...buttoning up the bride's train so she could dance.  I only got to practice twice and people were rushing me.

Ok, nearly done with vest.  Went much faster than I anticipated and only had to rip the stitches on the welts because I sewed them wrong and that was the first set of stitches.  Thank goodness that is the only thing that went wrong and it fits perfectly.  Now to do those button holes. It is pressed since this photo.  Will post photos when he is wearing it.

I think it was the emergency accpuncture appointment and all the prayer everyone is doing for me that helped me calm down enough to look.  It is nearly together, attaching front and lining now.  Waiting for question to be answered before continuing.  Then to do those button holes with adjustment.  Time to watch the You Tube Video on my new Pfaff so I can get them right first time.  Yes, will do a sample piece so not to ruin the final product.
