If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

I don't know where to ask this question, but I saw this on email, " Dear Group Moderators and Members,

Last month we notified you of the changes coming to Yahoo Groups that better align with user habits, and today we are providing an update to guide you through the next steps of the transition. Yahoo Groups is not going away - but we are making adjustments to ultimately serve you better. We are amazed at the vibrant community you’ve created through Yahoo Groups and we want to make sure you feel supported as we introduce these changes.

The following changes were made since our last communication:

  • Users can now only join a Yahoo Group through an invite or group request approval by the Group Moderator.
  • New Groups can’t be public. They can only be private (not listed in Groups directory, membership by invitation only) or restricted (listed in Groups directory, membership requests must be approved by a Group Moderator).
  • Members must share all content via email, and can no longer upload or host new content on the Yahoo Groups website itself.

The following changes will be made on December 14, 2019:

  • Public groups will no longer exist. All existing public Groups will become restricted Groups that require Group Moderator approval to join.
  • Any content that was previously uploaded via the website will be removed.

Will this affect our group?

Doodlebug! What a neat name...hmmm, maybe l'll steal that to name the bug quilt, lol. Enjoy visiting with your customers, Wilma, people at craft fairs are the friendliest bunch. I'm sure you'll find your talents put to good use after " reretiring", lol.

Ginny, the bug fabric was the top part of the border panel...2 chunks 10" wx wof is all l had of that to start. I just sprinkled it around...big ladybug is applique as is bee, caterpillar & snail :-))

You and your husb. do booths at Craft fairs, Wilma? Why did I not realize this before? What do you sell?

Thanks for the compliments on the T-shirt quilt.  Am hoping the mail will deliver it tomorrow.  My sister, hubby and I are off to Doodlebug Craft Fair in the morning in Boulder City NV.  This will be our last year.  We have participated for 13 years, hanging up our hats and cleaning out the closet.  Maybe I will get some projects done before year end.

Love the "Bug" quilt, Riana! I am envious of all the ladybug fabric you have. You have done it again! This is such a bright, happy quilt! It will make some child smile, for sure!

A much better day...I got all 3 outfits cut! Then l got 3 errands done. Then after dinner l went on the holiday tour of homes here in the community. 12 homes to admire decked out for Christmas, and one for Honika...all just lovely, and it was hard to chose my favourite to vote for as best. Refreshments were served at the clubhouse afterwards. Ticket sales was in support of our quilt group's sister group " Hoopers", an embroidery machine group who does cancer comfort pillows, and makes lovely labels for our quilts. The also make the machine applique blocks for our group's " first baby boy" and " first baby girl" New Year's baby quilts for Waterman hospital.
