If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Thank you Ginny. I don't always get on here. We've been so busy with Halloween, now Thanksgiving then it'll be Christmas. And getting ready to go camping with our Viking clan in December. Can't wait for that. Now I have to dig out my winter coats & sweatshirts & get a pair of warm boots.

Deanna, doing all those chores makes me homesick. I miss my chickens & blackberries. But, we might be getting chicks as soon as I can find a coop. Can't wait. But a womans job is never done, right?

kris - glad ya wandered in to the UFO Gang Hangout. we have a lot of fun here, like ginny says, a friendly, chatty, caring group of quilters. speaking of caring ...

beth - major ouch! i don't understand the scenario of how it happened. i hate vac the stairs. do take it easy, let the shoulder repair itself. lots of hugs w ddd should make you all better in no time. Dear Darlin' Daughter = ddd - i make up my own acronyms too lol

dee - my oh my ..tom selleck!! yup, that guy can guard my quilts any time. guard my bouse, my fabric stash. anything. one of the few male stars that has gotten even more yummy as he ages :)) IMHO LOL

ginny --yup! was looking forward to maybe some last nice sunny, tho cool days this weekend got home last night. WOW!!! the MOON was amazing last night on drive home. but checked NOAA before toddling off to lala land w visions of a saturday immersed in dirt and clearing garden of vegies. it was calling for fog, sun the. rain and monday chance of rain OR snow! our lows are plunging from 40 to 22 tonight. so, guess it's finally over. winter is here.

Beth, I do love the cowboy boots. I'm an old rodeo gal from way back. Sorry you got hurt. I hope you get to feeling better soon. We owned the Coast to Coast hardware store from 86 to 88. Good fishing at the lake also. My girlfriend & her hubby would bring the boat over & we'd go fishing when we could get away from the store.

Glad you get to see your daughter. I was at my daughters wedding 8/31 up in Eureka. I miss her so much too. We used to have snuggle times also & I miss that. What kind of puppy do you have?

My son in law bought a Rainbow Vac a couple months ago. OMGosh, I just love it. Him & grandson have horrible allergies & this really helps. It uses water to catch all the dirt, dust, dander. It's pricey, but well worth it. You can also just use it as an air cleaner & you can get different scents to put in the water. We both have a Dyson, which I thought cleaned pretty good. But after cleaning with it & using the Rainbow, I was disgusted how much stuff was still in the carpets. So I'm sold on this vacuum.

If you can, try & get a massage. I have degenerative discs in lower back & just had my first massage last Sunday. It felt great. But I had such knots all over my upper & lower back it wasn't funny. And right now I'm pain free. Our friend is a masseuse & I can't wait to get another one. So think about that.

Ok, talk later. Got chores to do.

Welcome Kris & Rebecca! This is a very friendly, supportive, chatty group! We love to see what you're doing!

Oh, Beth! Take care and take it easy...enjoy your girl!

I have heard the words Frost and Snow on these pages this week and the calendar is reminding me it's appropriate, but...gees!

Very cute Santa, Riana!

Enjoy your vacation Dee!

According to Rogue's Acronym list, tops that are done and not quilted are called Flimsies or TBQ's (To Be Quilted) so they have their own category and can be removed from your UFO numbers, Rebecca.

I wish I could say I only have 3-4 UFO's. :c))

Beth, when vac'g stairs, best to have vac at your side, not your head ... I can feel it from here .. HUGZ !

Enjoy your daughter this weekend.

Wormed flock, brushed Shadow, cleaned chicken coop, feed shed, clipped blackberries, mulched blackberries with leaves (have lots of those!), clipped gum tree up to make space for tractor going under with man on top, planted blackberry babies in tomato tubs and pulled all tomatoe spines since frost hit .. did dog detail, and NOW .. going to figure my border for log cabin and cut and attach ..  hoping a 2 hr rest will be equal to the 2hr work I just did ..   found a Dr Who marathon, so maybe I will see what all the hullabaloo is all about .. maybe not ..

Prayers for you Beth. You don't need this just when your daughter is there for a visit  and have all that work to do. Hope you will feel better very soon.
