My year keeps getting better and better <sarcasm>  So, I have had a cold for about a week, and on Thanksgiving evening, my ear started throbbing.  By midnight it was really painful.  Went to take a shower before going to bed and my eardrum ruptured. Don't have insurance at the moment, because who can afford $1400 per month with a 25,000 deductible?  Went to Urgent Clinic, and they said I will need to see an ENT doctor to repair. Total hearing loss in my left ear.  Can I please catch a break.  Sorry to unload this on you all, but I needed to let it out somewhere.  But hey, I got to spend the day with my granddaughter, so it wasn't a total disaster.

We just arrived in USA earlier this week. I brought the items l'd made / collected along. Post office will be open Monday, so will get box and see how much more l'll need to fill it. l couldn't bring food stuff over border without a hassel, so l too need to find something for SSS's sweet tooth. Then l plan to do some " gadget shopping"...what quilter doesn't like quilting gadgets!

Going to try and find a couple of last minute items for my SS box and then pack it up...including some sweet treats.  Have the date on my calendar.....

Mary be safe ! I had friends that lived my the border in Texas and I came back with car loads of goodies. I departed with a few things, one friend broke my turtle ( had a top that removed) she said well you can use half of it.. really. My best treasure have been two pottery birds that I can hang up. Have fun, but be alert and safe. Enjoy the food ! Oh, not sure this is true, my Mexican friend said to only order shrimp, because he said you might not get the meat you think you ordered.

Am packed and have an inch left on top.  We are going to Carmel (friends gave us 1/2 of their time share week in a posh seaside hotel) and told us where all the good thrift shops are.  I like their priorities.  Surely thrift will be more interesting in a Resort town.

I'm so happy you enjoyed the program, Melanie. Hope you will join us again next year.

This has been so much fun!  I hope my SSS is happy with her box - when I get these last two projects done - baking dog biscuits (yum) and the March IM mug rug which I had not done.  I also am looking for some sweet treats and another book.

Unlike the rest of you, I have not even tried to pack my box yet - I just keep adding things and it's overflowing already!
