Fabric Pre-cut Swaps

This group is designed to swap fabric that is pre-cut to a predetermined size for different types of projects.

The idea behind this group is to use your existing fabric stash to get rid of some of you extras pieces from other projects, while obtaining new colors and patterns to help you complete new projects.

This is how it works:

Start with 12 ziplock bags.  In each bag you will insert the number of pieces of fabric designated for that particular swap.

Send in 11 of the bags with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to receive to same number of bags sent in by the other participants.

If fewer than 12 people participate, you may receive duplicate bags from the other participants.  If more than 12 participate you may not receive a bag from each participant, but you will receive at least 11 different bags.

Please keep track of your USPS tracking numbers, as I cannot be responsible for lost or missing packages.

Ok, that is an easier way to go I hadn’t thought of. Thanks.

Are you going to email us  your address when you are ready for us to mail them?

Colleen, most people have just been placing address labels on the outsides of their swap bags, but it is entirely up to you.

I have another question....do we put a little paper in each bag saying who the squares are from?

Comment by Kathy Gurgone on March 29, 2019 at 8:58am

We are off to a great beginning.  Thanks to everyone who is joining us.  As you can see, I have listed several swaps for the next few months.  If anyone would like to see a particular pre-cut swap, please let me know.  I am open to any suggestions and ideas.

I am listing the swaps well in advance of the due dates to give everyone a chance to look through what they have, so that they can decide if they want to participate or not.

However, please don't send in the swaps until the month they are due.  I don't want to get anything mixed up.  I'm confused enough as it is....lol.

I’m in for the 10” squares of pastel Batiks. I will have to look through and see what other months I will play.

Kathy, I will need to take a look at my stash tomorrow to tell you which months I am interested in.  Thanks

To simplify the swap groups for fabrics, I have started this new group.  I hope that everyone interested on swapping fabrics from your stash will please join us.  Each month will be dedicated to a different size of pre-cut fabric and theme.  Some months you will only send in 1 piece, some months it may be 12 or more.  But each month I will try to make is something different.
