If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Congrats Karen!  I am excited for you getting your rr done.  Way to go. I did love how Ginny and I worked together to get our two rows to give that Ocean affect.

I know Mary is working on hers, mine is in a big pile half quilted, Ginny's and Linda's are done, Riana will get busy on hers when she gets home. Rogue and Sue, how are yours?

Batik Balloons would be beautiful, and if we traded just the balloons (plus their  baskets and maybe a passenger?) and let everyone applique on the background(s) of their choice??? The sizes could be between 10 and 20 inches tall.

Thanks for the warning, Mary.  I am a tiny bit OCD and need to be organized before my creative juices start to flow.  Right now it looks like hurricane Bette can through here.

Not a southern girl.  Born in Texas, raised in Arizona and settled in  Washington state.  Moved here to be near my youngest son.

I learned to love sewing on my Mother's FW.  They are sweet!

Wow Beth, thanks for posting my baby ~~ it looks great in your room.  And guys, I need to add up the number of yards of fabric I used on that baby.  I don't have much left  .. phew .. a whole stack .. GONE  .. woo hoo   That was a great stash reduction quilt ~~ Now I can look back at the drawing, and now it is REAL .. happy dance ... just how many strings are there  ??  hahahaha

Have started going to a chiropractor as i put my neck out answering the phones a couple weeks ago.  now that's fixed i asked him about working on my feet.  The first suggestion he made was getting rid of the hard inflexible orthotics i am wearing, and tonight when I came home, I actually had the ability to do some pruning and pulling outside.  We will be having storms the next couple days, so will have plenty of time to make more piles of branches and weeds.  And of course elevate and work on my handquilting.

A balloon quilt ??  bright batiks would work .. don't have much silk in my stash either ...

Back to work .. doing something ...

Beth - Dee's quilting is looking fabulous!

Hot Air Balloon blocks...huh, Don't have any silk, but might b interested in doing just a couple of blocks...will see how it transpires and what time frame we are thinking.

Spent 3 day retreat with my BFF group and got my WWWWRR ready for the quilter.  They all wanted a say in how it went together since they shared in all the making of the rows I made.  Did a little rearranging and one row just had a little lighter colors then the rest, so gave it a special setting all it's own up the center of the back.  Lots sharp. Thought I was going to have to add something on the sides to make it balance better, but with one row on the back it came out just perfect. Will post when I get it back.

Yes, I am still going to Paduka.  Is anyone else going?  I would love to meet face to face if you are.  Send me a message and give me your phone number and I will do the same so we can find each other.  I am leaving Monday and coming back on Sat.  One of the girls I am going with is taking the appraisers course so needs to be there on Tuesday.  I am so excited!!!

Be careful Bette, whenever I clean or reorganize my sewing room I am inspired to start another project.

You are here at the beginning of a discussion of a possible joint project.  We were first fantasizing taking hot air balloons to visit each other(stopping at county fairs to see the quilts) we are thinking about a swap of personalized balloons.  Sue is brave and proposing we work in real silk...

Have you always been a Southern Girl?  And I see you are a Faithful Featherweight Fan.  I just cleaned my Featherweight that belonged to my Mom's best friend, who used it at the movie studio to make hats for the real "Wizard of OZ."
