UFOs

If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Linda, the hand print quilt is very cool! Tell us more about it, please!

Kris, depending on the tones of the purple and copper, green might be good, since the other two are two legs of a secondary colorway triad - purple, orange, and green.

Kris, try a little red.  Red is my favorite anywhere, anytime.

That's really pretty, Linda

Kris, I once did one in copper, turquoise, cream and maroon.

I am planning a quilt that will have copper and purple as the two main colors.  What color would you use as a third small accent color?

Linda, I love your WOTB quilt!  Beth - great job on the quilting, too.  May you sleep well under that quilt, Linda.

Mary, the socks are absolutely delightful.  I've done a lot of knitting over the years, and a ton of baby booties, but have never tried socks.  My hat's off to you!

Gail, those patterns will still be around next year when you've got your PHD!!

Gail, I was given a box of fabrics, not all Thimbleberries, some Moda. The book shows the fabric pattern it's calling for so I was able to match Moda fabrics if there weren't Thimbleberry fabrics. Blocks 1 &2 are looking great!

Linda, what a wonderful quilt, front and back.  I know you're happy to have it finished.Good luck on the Thimbleberries Pansy Garden, you know that I love those patterns.

Mary my  feet are nice and warm just from looking at those neat socks.

When quilts are meant to be...they just work. WOTB must be one of those.  Precious, and probably more than comforting.
