UFOs

If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Linda - that's such a wonderful memories quilt.  Thanks for sharing it.

Linda and Zoe - yes, I've been thinking about a turquoise or teal.  Will have to audition some and see what I think.

Riana - it will have 4 shades of copper with the lightest one already a gold color.  I still want one other color.  And there's no rush.  I'm not going to be making this one anytime soon, but I picked up the pattern, and I've been thinking about possible color combinations.

Kris, I found this image, looks like Linda using the turquoise would really work well. But, it's up to you what you want the quilt to look like.

The hand prints are those of a friend, her daughter and granddaughters. The hearts have their birthdates. The very small cream colored handprint in the center is her toddler granddaughter that passed, the heart has her birth and date of passing. On the back for the label is my handprint. I would have to go thru all my USBs to find that photo.

Kris, a gold/ yellow batik would be my choice.

Linda, the hand print quilt is very cool! Tell us more about it, please!

Kris, depending on the tones of the purple and copper, green might be good, since the other two are two legs of a secondary colorway triad - purple, orange, and green.

Kris, try a little red.  Red is my favorite anywhere, anytime.

That's really pretty, Linda

Kris, I once did one in copper, turquoise, cream and maroon.

I am planning a quilt that will have copper and purple as the two main colors.  What color would you use as a third small accent color?
