If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Linda, your rehab is getting paid, so you should ask for the best that you can get.  If you have an address maybe each of us can send you something to work on.. just give us some hints.

I am glad you have someone to help you with your sweet Indy.

Elizabeth, Back in September I ended up in the hospital for a few days, the whole experience was a nightmare ! I too had, well still have a old flip phone... I actually like it best, but when I was there how I wished I would just give in to using a smart phone. I still have not given in, should I?

Linda, I am hoping you get a new roommate soon, and that you break all records for recovery.  Hugs.

Our Wild Valentine's Evening involves sharing a small bag of Moose Munch(caramel popcorn with almonds) and watching a movie on TV!  It really couldn't be any better.

It almost seems a bad thing to wish Happy Valentines Day to all when so many are in such sad conditions. But I  wish you all the blessings of heaven in the midst of your trials. Just a glimpse of Jesus turns night to day.

Linda, sorry to hear of the trials and tribulations of rehab.  I would absolutely ask about changing rooms.  Worst case scenario - they say no, you can't, but if you can it could really help your healing.  Praying all improves for you.

She controls the tv, doesn't leave it on anything long enough to get I interested, and no volume. She's confused sometimes and falls asleep in mid sentence. Very sloppy person. Husband brought in lots of flowers for Valentine's day...I can hardly breathe. He brings all kinds of food in and I keep telling him I don't want any but he piles my table with it. Tempted to ask if I can change room.

Linda, let's hope that he will get tired of visiting so often soon. How long is your room-mate in for?  Do you have a T.V.?  I didn't.  I  had a cell phone (a senior one that did nothing but make calls) and I talked to my friends to make time go faster.  I didn't realize until I got home that I was billed for every minute after the first minimum ones were used up.  The bill was $187.  As you see, rehab is an adventure.  You'll have good stories to last the next 10 years.

I might as well have a Male roommate as much as my roommate 's husband is here. Makes me nervous even if he is old!!

Linda, I was in rehab for 14 days after my hip replacement and I had to share a room and bathroom with a weird man in the hospital.  He scared me because of his use of profane language and he didn't go to sleep until I don't know when.  Then, he would sleep in until noon  when he was supposed to be up at 8:00 to start his exercise program.  How he left the bathroom was obscene.  I'm sure that 3 months in rehab without a male room-mate would have been heaven.

I remember there were 3 women down the hall who shared a room who were having fun.  I kept thinking why couldn't have I have been assigned a bed in there

So, Linda, as long as you don't have a male room-mate, you will be fine. LOL.

Linda, though it must be difficult to face right now, in the end, they'll have you more mobile than ever! Indy's in good hands, hopefully you'll get updates ( and maybe even a visit, if they can swing it).

An update...I was transferred to a skilled nursing facility on Tuesday and learned I will be here approximately 3 months for rehab. Indy will go into foster care tomorrow morning via the rescue group that I adopted him from. A lovely couple from Scottsdale stepped up to foster him until I  am able to return home. He will have a foster brother to play with.

Since I hear Kathy Gurgone is having some health problems and I have no access to my computer at home I may have to cancel Secret Santa this year. Kathy please email me if you see this.
