UFOs

If you're a REAL quilter, you have at least one UFO (unfinished object) and one WIP (work in progress) stashed in the closet or stacked on a shelf. Maybe you just need quilting suggestions, or maybe a fresh eye from a new online friend can help with block arrangements. How about a UFO swap? Any UFO conversation is welcome.

Poor Bumpber:((

Comment by Mary Moore on December 3, 2014 at 9:15pm

Scilly, the two yr old healthy Malamute, lost her patience with Bumper(recovering from removal of eye  and large cancerous tumor)  when Bumper found a squeaky ball and wouldn't stop playing with it.  Scilly had been with us only 6 weeks when Bumper arrived and there was lots of jealousy, and perhaps pack culling involved.  I didn't mention the first fight which did have puncture wounds for me(right hand of course) and Bumper on  the top of his head.  The second fight is when Paul got carried away( I love the Paduca idea)- I only have bruises and swollen knuckles, Bumper had a quick trip to the Vet for 20 minutes of stitches that are parallel to his surgery incision. Vet called it a,"killing bite." We took Scilly to the wonderful shelter folk(who we foster and do doggy hospice for) for evaluation and work with their psychologist/trainer.  They will help us make a sensible decision after a couple of weeks.  I don't want to give up the needy dogs...but I can hear Scilly crying when I try to sleep at night.

Oh Mary, goodness me, you going to be ok?  No stitches right?  Puncture wounds?  I hope you are going to be ok.

Got involved in a dog fight on Saturday. Paul had to whap the aggressor with a 2x2 to get her to let go of the other's neck.  Unfortunately my right hand was in the way. Does this make me a beaten wife?

Ginny, I like your fire plan.  The first means no extension cord..always a plus.

Oh, also if you want the fire "lit", add a little night light bulb behind the fire. And I meant the paper towels rolls WITH the towels still on the roll.
