Inspiring Quilters, Stitch by Stitch
Has anyone ever gone to the Myrtle Beach Quilt Party? I just heard about this yesterday and I am trying to find out more about it, but their site is useless! You can make reservations, but for what???!!! Is this all classes? a retreat style event, where I bring my machine and quilt all weekend? A regular quilt show? What is this?? I would love for it to be a really big retreat style event, that is what I am hoping it is. Classes would be really cool too.
Anyone know what it is?
I'm very close to MB, best I can tell it is clasess, vendors etc. The had it at MB convention center this year which is pricy so they have moved it to a new facility near Calabash.
I have a few quilting buddies that go and they have a blast every year.
Hi Chris, Is it like a typical quilt show or is it more like a retreat?
Consider it a *mini* quilt event Lisa, not like a large regional show. But still lots of fun!
They have classes and vendors. I would love to go as well. I will ask around and see if anyone is going and get the info and post it.
I've attended in the past, I live an hour's drive north of Myrtle Beach. I enjoyed both times I went, the classed were great, cost was right - Myrtle Beach hotels have off season rates during the winter months and it's nice to be at the beach! Here is the email addy where you can have your name added to the newsletter list: firstname.lastname@example.org They don't send out much, I put the date Sept. 14th on my calendar so I'll know to check the website on the day the classes are announced.
Hope this helps,
Go to mbqp.net and you will get all the details. It is actually in Sunset Beach at the Sea Trail Resort this year. And, it is not to late to get in classes.
Mardelle has just opened the classes and enrollment for Jan 2020 retreat.
