I'm having more fun with pre-cuts. The possibilities are endless. And it seems every book you pick up right now has a new idea. And their great for someone who hasn't mastered the rotory cutter…Continue
Last winter I participated the the AQS block a day Christmas quilt. It was such fun, really motivating, but I did not realize until I started how many pieces the patterns called for in a 4 inch block. I was essentially learning miniature quilting techniques, by necessity, as I went along. I learned a ton, and got the top pieced, soon after Christmas. It is not, however, quilted yet. I suppose this will be my Christmas project this year. I don't seem to be able to post a picture, not sure why. I will work on it and hope to post a picture of my quilt top.
Excited to find this group. Am looking for quilting friends near me in Evanston.
I am located in Salem, IL This is about an hour and 15 minutes away
are there any quilter out there around Mattoon or Charleston I would love to get in to a group of people that quilting.
I love to work with pre cuts.
new to this site, but extremely excited to find. I moved recently to the n.s. of Chicago from indiana and lost my quilting partner. love to see pics and get inspired/
Thanks, Norma. It's Topiary Tiles. The pattern suggested florals for the squares and alternated the setting of the blocks so the bands through the blocks didn't line up. It was fairly easy, especially with precuts.
Connie, what is the name of the pattern for this? It looks relatively simple and yet beautiful!
