Taurus – April 21 to May 20 Taurus is the quilter who always finishes a project, as they are persistent and determined. When attending workshops or using a pattern they will follow every instruction to the letter. They can be greedy when it comes to their stash, as they know the value of material. They save every bit of scrap. However, they are warmhearted and loving to such a degree that they have given away nearly every quilt they have ever made. They are gifted artists, excelling at sewing, patchwork and quilting. The stitching in their quilts is of such high quality that their quilts will endure for eons.

Cancer – June 22 to July 22 Cancer makes quilts to please themselves not to showcase. They do appreciate compliments on their work but being timid they aren’t likely to enter a quilt in a competition. They want their quilts to be practical and comfortable and aren’t likely to hang one on the wall, but actually use them on beds. Being cautious they are most likely to stick to the traditional designs. They are not likely to add decorative touches, such as trims or whatnots. They believe that quilts are naturally beautiful and do not need embellishments. They love to use dark rich colours in their quilts considering these as more practical. When they discover a quilt shop they like, they become lifetime, loyal customers.

they missed the mark quite a few places on me! -~~~hahaha~~~ i do make quilts to please myself, but i also like to showcase them. i like making quilts that are practical and comfortable, mostly wanting quilts to be used and worn out, but i also like to make some for showing off as bed toppers, rsther than sleep unders.i TOTALLY do not do traditional designs, in fact avoid all patterns when doing my quilts. and, i love using embellishments when making show piece quilts. i have one with buttons, lace ribbons, embroidery, doilies, etc. i am most drawn to black, white and gray fabrics, with reds being close runners, and greens bringing up next place. so, kinda half-n-half on the dark rich colors i guess. ;-)
wow! now i hope more Cancers check in! in fact, i hope we hear frome some more members! the taurus was so on for me. i couldn't believe it. horoscopes usually are like a mix of some reality and some "hmmmmmmm....". so, i was quite surprised by the taurus horoscope, as it was very true about me and how i do things. of course, there is the cusp thing and other factors too, when doing real horoscope charting. my mother, i & my youngest sister are all w/in a week of each other. so my mother had my chart done for a year, one time. she wanted to know why of tje three of us, i was so very very different from the two of them. this was many many years ago. it was almost spot on for the entire year. found out that i am taurus w aquarious "rising" which meant that my house of taurus was "ruled" by aquarious the sign of change. i was the only bum in the family lollol. i also ALWAYS threw the house of changes when doing the I Ching sticks tossing thing w friends years ago. i have always found this sort of thing interesting, guess that is why this page caught my attention while doing a bit of web wandering a while back.

Well, Rogue, true Taurus that I am (also decendant of 2 Taurus parents) ,a lot of what it says rings true for me too, but not the part about following instruction. True, when I get a new anything I read the instruction manual first, but when following patterns, I continually look for alternate/better ways to do anything.Did they mention anything about hording sewing machines? I seem to have a bunch now, and never get rid of any in case the parts are usable:))

hmmm...dh reminded me that i do tend to "alter" things like recipes, patterns etc. i told him i "only do that if i don't have all thenespcssary parts - pieces - ingredients!" lol

and i read the instructions/directions/recipe thru several times nowadays :(( - there's days i have CRS so bad i do some really strange things. lollol

Ok,Rogue, but I'll bet you never put the sewing machine oil in the fridge!

nope! the garbage almost into the kitchen towel drawer ... looked all over for a pattern i printed up yesterday. all OVER my newly cleaned off desk ...decided i was nuts ..printed it again. then found the lost one...in with the bank statements lollol

Scorpio – October 24 to November 22 Being passionate Scorpios can be excellent quilters. When they rely on their natural intuition, they excel at choosing colour and pattern combinations. Sometimes their compulsive nature can cause problems, as they leave projects unfinished in their quest to have the latest and greatest. When they stick with a project they produce supreme work. They always must have the most up-to-minute supplies or tools and tend to be jealous of others who may possess anything more recent. They have been known to sulk if they get frustrated in their aim to be unsurpassed. Nevertheless, their desire to have the best is what drives them to produce exceptional quality work. As they possess abundant energy they can do a large amount of quilting without even needing a break for a cuppa.

hmm, I guess this explains the large number of UFO's in my sewing room, lol

ya think?!? :))

hmmmm .. i married a scorpio...wonder what they would say about scorpio hobby blacksmiths? i think this applies to his tools obsession lol!

lol, probably.. I"m sure it explains the fact that I have every kitchen do-dad ever made and my collection of rulers, templates and cutters is out of hand

aha! lol...now then next weeks assignment para mi... search online for a blacksmiths horoscope. could do an engineers horoscope search...but i give him enough bad engineer jokes grief already. so...will go straight for the juggular - - blacksmith horoscope and tool mania! oh,man...i will never let him on here...he has the lamest collection of blacksmith jokes anyone could ever want to hear! lollol

Pisces – February 19 and March 20 Pisces are dreamers. When they quilt they usually are creating poetry. Although they are kind and make projects to bestow on friends and family they are most likely envisioning themselves snuggled beneath the very quilt they are working on. Although they can lack self-confidence their imagination and intuition makes them artistic quilters. There sensitivity can lead them to shy away from displaying their creations. Generally you will find that a Pisces has more then one project on the go and can easily manage both. Whatever they choose to work on they need a project that requires plenty of variety. Patchwork that includes embroidery or other needlework is well liked by them.

I will fess up to the multiple projects going at one time.  OK dagnabit I do needlework too, but have been procrastinating.  But I probably should pull it all together for evenings when DH is home so he can watch tv and I can get those projects done.
