I make a lot of quilts to donate.  A few of my favorites are:

http://www.projectlinus.org/

I would be interested in other reputable (501c) organizations and would appreciate links to some of your favorites.

Thanks!

We would love to see anyone's quilting charity lists!

Here's another favorite...it's to raise awareness of ALS as well as to provide quilts to patients:

The owner of Quilter's Dream Batting Company started this because her son was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).

I donate most of my small art quilts to AAQI, Ami Simm's group which raises money for Alzheimer's research and to local animal rescue organizations to auction for funds.

My sisters and I are starting a project this year.  We will be making and donating quilts to our local veterans home. I'm not sure where that is yet, but I will figure it out.
This is indirectly related to your comment. I want to send quilts, and ahuge amount of fabric to the Oglala Sioux reservation (Pine Ridge Reservation) in South Dakota. I am interested in knowing if you have any helpful info about the most economic way to ship/mail it to them?
