This challenge will have ZERO swapping in it. It is strictly created to try to get some finishes on our swap blocks! You may join in at any time and you can finish any number of quilts or other projects you wish in each quarter but the hope is to complete at least one each quarter!
Here is how it works:
* sign up quarterly. This will prompt you to have accountability!
*make goals!! Be willing to post your goals each quarter and do your best to follow through!
* choose your blocks for the quarter! It can be blocks we have swapped or even ones you have just had setting around forever!
* be prepared! Whether it is scrappy or perfectly chosen have it ready to go. Choose a setting!
*share ideas to help others move forward! Sometimes the hardest part of this is deciding on a setting. Let's help each other by sharing ideas!
* be prepared to post progress and hopefully pictures if you are able!
* the main goal is to get all the way to a finished quilt!! Binding and all! Or if you prefer you may use the blocks to complete some other project such as table runners, place settings or bed runners.
But even if you are only able to get to the quilt top stage at least it's not a pile of blocks!!
************** HAVE FUN!! *************
This is the main thing! When it stops being fun you stop making progress! Lets keep it fun. You never know I may add prizes in here at some point!
After i finished my cousins wedding quilt i went back anf fixed my tea cups. I just couldn't stand the way it looked. I used Riana's fix for it and i like it again now. Thanks Riana! This was much easier than my plan. Lol.
I am in the process now of quilting my pumpkin quilt. And i got the binding on my Christmas quilt so it is finished now too.
Carla, you did a lovely job! The fix is always easy for someone who's not " involved" with a project to spot, lol.
I liked your plan better. I was going to disassemble the entire block and center it. But i really wanted it on the side. Your fix was much more user friendly and got ghe look i wanted.
how awesome - that'll be beauutiful - I finally got my machine set up here in AZ but have been busy helping a fellow Canadian get ready to sell her place - hubby got very sick..............so won't be able to start again til next week sometime. Then I am hoping to put the pumpkins together.
Lovely, Carla. I agree that Riana was spot on with her suggestion.
She sure was!
This came out so great! Love it!
Yeah, it did. And I love all that blue. Wish I had thought of that.
So Cute! I see mine
Carla, I am hoping to finish up my pumpkin swap quilt and the St. Peppers lonely hearts. Both need to be quilted....of course this blessed foot is prohibiting that for now. Still have 2 more weeks with no weight bearing. Not sure how much I can do if they give me “the boot” but am hoping at least one a week in late November.
O.k. Wilma. I will put down your goals and if you make them great if not oh my goodness look how much you did get finished this year! Wow!
